FFPS Offers Unique Soccer Leagues That Maximize Fun and Fairness

An active member of the community, Paul Katsus supports several charitable and community organizations such as Fun-Fair-Positive Soccer.

Founded in 1986, Fun-Fair-Positive Soccer (FFPS) is committed to offering soccer leagues to young soccer players in the Houston, Texas area that maximize fun and learning while helping players build self-esteem and positive values. The leagues maintained by FFPS are made up of five-a-side teams, or teams that only have five players (instead of the more traditional 11), allowing for increased player involvement and individual attention. Due to the small size of the teams, every player has a chance to play every role an equal amount, and coaches can focus more on utilizing each player’s unique abilities to help the team.

FFPS is open to girls and boys between the ages of four and 18. Parents can sign their kids up online or by phone, and choose between two payment options: a one-time payment of $99 or a two-time payment of $51.50 over one month. Multiple-player homes receive a discount for each additional child signed up. During both the Fall and Spring seasons, the FFPS hosts eight local games for every team. Players are also expected to be present during team practices, which are held for around one hour in the evenings once a week.
