Supporting the United Way

Paul Katsus spent nearly 15 years as a service consultant with CenterPoint Energy in Houston, Texas. Outside of work, Paul Katsus spends his time supporting charitable organizations such as the United Way.

The United Way is a nonprofit that works toward upholding the interests of children all over the world. The organization’s achievements include the donation of more than 24,000 books to children throughout Wisconsin’s Racine County and a special education program made available to 13,000 fifth- and sixth-grade students in South Jakarta. As a not-for-profit organization, the United Way relies on outside contributions and assistance from approximately 2.6 million volunteers all over the world.

Those who wish to join the United Way and become actively involved in the lives of children can volunteer as mentors or instructors. The United Way works with a number of organizations, such as the YMCA and the United States Special Army Cadets Program, that are dedicated to partnering positive adult role models with children in need.

People who want to support the United Way but cannot donate their time can make a direct contribution. In addition to making one-time, reoccurring, and in memoriam donations, stocks and Bitcoin are also accepted. Business owners and employees can look into the various options for corporate giving.
